My favorite mythological creature is the phoenix! Their whole flame motif is gorgeous, and I love how they resurrect from their ashes. Also, they were always super badass in Heroes of Might and Magic, one of my favorite PC games as a kid, lol. Still a great series even now - one of those games that I love to play, even though I suck at it. orz
